Hello SESLYO folks!
I’m excited for us to be gathering on Friday, August 6, through Sunday, August 8, 2021, at Lutheranch in Tallapoosa, GA!!!
A detailed agenda is attached to this email, but here are some highlights and important notes...
We would like everyone to arrive at the TRINITY HOUSE at Lutheranch by around 7:00pm Eastern / 6:00pm Central, on Friday, August 6. Pick-Up is 9:00am Eastern / 8:00am Central on Sunday, August 8. If that poses a problem, let me know, and we can try to work something out.
The goals for this board meeting are as follows:
- Build a sense of community amongst board members and adult advisors
- Create a theme (and theme verse) for the 2021-2022 youth ministry year
- Begin creation of workshops based on theme for the 2022 SESLYO Assembly
Also, please remember to make the $75 donation for being a SESLYO board member. This covers part of our room and board and supplies for the year’s activities. The synod picks up the rest of the costs. To make that gift, you can go to the synod website giving page and under “Some Specific Synod Ministries” go to “Youth and Young Adult Ministries” and specify “SESLYO.” Or, bring a check made out to “Southeastern Synod.” (Don’t make the check out to SESLYO.)
Please fill out and bring your medical release form as well as a copy of your insurance card - for “the files.” This year, we are also asking everyone to sign a COVID Waiver. Forms / waivers are attached, too. (And we will have copies on site.) SEE THE LINKS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS EMAIL FOR MEDICAL FORM AND WAIVER (Medical Form: pdf and Word versions available; COVID Waiver: pdf available).
We are providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday. So please grab dinner before you come : )
Please bring a snack to share, too!
Finally, if you are willing to share with us, we would like to know if you have been vaccinated from COVID. This is simply to help us with medical / COVID protocols.
Please reply to this email with your response about being vaccinated (or not).
