Here is our follow up to our Lectionary Study

with Rev. Dr. Troy Troftgruben, from November 9, 2021:

We want to thank all who could attend on Tuesday, November 9, for our All Saints Sunday through Christ the King Sunday Lectionary Study with Rev. Dr. Troy Troftgruben.  We had a wonderful time together.    In fact, we are thankful for ALL of you, regardless if you were able to attend or not.  We know in this pandemic life has taken many twists and turns for ALL of us.  We are thankful for this partnership.

On November 9, Dr. Troftgruben shared some notes with us about the texts for the Sundays in Advent, Year C.  We covered the following Sunday texts:

  • November 28, Advent 1
  • December 5, Advent 2
  • December 12, Advent 3
  • December 19, Advent 4

  • Quote from Chat Box from Zoom:
    • ?"[Hope] is no longer something we see but rather something we practice, something we live, something we advocate, something we plant. At times when we feel as if the world must be coming to an end tomorrow, our call is not to wait, not to cry, nor to surrender. Rather, . . . [we] go out today into our garden, into our society, and plant olive trees."
