First Call ministers,

  I am hoping that you all have February 7-9, 2022, marked on your calendar for the Region 9 First Call Theological Education event to be held at Lutheridge, Arden, NC.  However, the DEADLINE for registration is December 6, 2022.  That's just 4 days away, as of this email.

  As of today, we have Robin, Nyahaley, and Dawn registered.  We do expect as many of you as possible to attend, as part of your formation as first call ministers.

  One change from my prior email:   The SYNOD will make the payment to Region 9, and each of you can reimburse the synod.  The cost is $240 and should be covered by your congregation - above and beyond your regular compensation and continuing education.

Upcoming First Call Event - Region 9 Stewardship Retreat - Feb 7-9, 2022

  Part of our expectation is that this group will participate in the Region 9 First Call Theological Education (in-person) event to be held at Lutheridge (Arden, NC), Monday, February 7 beginning at noon ET through Wednesday, February 9 at noon.

  The purpose of the gathering is to: Assist First Call Theological Rostered Ministers in embracing practical and spiritual dimensions of their stewardship journey

  As a part of the COVID protocols, all participants will have a single room unless a spouse/partner is registered. Lodging and meals for one participant is $240. The lodging and meals for an individual plus a spouse/partner is $350.  This cost is expected to be covered by your congregations.  If you have a hardship, please contact Pr. Michael Jannett directly for support.

 
  The deadline to register is Monday Dec. 6, 2021.
