Brent Driggers teaches courses in biblical studies, including a required New Testament survey and various electives in the canonical Gospels and biblical theology (for example, the theme of violence in scripture). His academic publications focus primarily on the Gospel of Mark, employing historically informed narrative criticism to investigate Mark's distinctive contributions to Christian theology and spirituality.

ELCA World Hunger's Vacation Bible School Program for 2022. The theme for this VBS comes from the rich prophetic description of the new Eden in Revelation 22:1-4. in this vision, the "tree of life" stands astride "the river of the ware of life," and St. John assures us that "the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations" (22:2).
"Tree of Healing " VBS is a chance for children and adults to consider what health means and how God invites us to share in the building of a just world where all can enjoy the gifts of God's creation.

Beginning in fall 2022, LTSS M.Div. students will have the opportunity to complete the curriculum in a hybrid format as an alternative to residing on or commuting to campus. It will combine remote learning with face-to-face educational experiences, including the required semesters of supervised field experience and on-campus gatherings twice per year. The hybrid option still offers students opportunities for fellowship and formational events with faculty and residential students.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is saddened by the all-too-frequent occurrences of gun violence in the U.S. We mourn the loss of life. We grieve for the victims and their families, who often feel silenced. And we lament for those who have done violence to others and often feel removed from a community of faith.
We invite you on a journey of prayer, scripture, stories and church teachings with this resource, "A 60-Day Journey Toward Justice in a Culture of Gun Violence." Together through daily observances, it calls us to work toward the prevention of gun violence as people of God who strive for justice and peace in all the world. It may be used for individual reflection, group Bible study, adult education sessions, and congregational daily devotions. Your journey is intended to start on June 16th, but this resource can be used at any time.
