Georgia Interfaith Power and Light Faith in Climate Action Week
Interested in dipping your toes in environmental justice, participating in Faith in Climate Action Week, or celebrating Earth Day next month? Join Georgia Interfaith Power and Light (GIPL), Scout Troop 103, and Ranger Jonah in cleaning up the Burnt Fork Creek and South Fork Peachtree Creek watersheds on Sunday, April 16 from 1-3 p.m. at Mason Mill Park!
Don't want to get your feet wet? There will likely be trash to be removed from the banks of the creek as well. Trash bags and disposable gloves will be provided, but please wear shoes that are able to get wet. Dress appropriately and bring a refillable water bottle and a snack. If you have work gloves and trash grabbers, those would be great as well.
All ages and stages are welcome but since we’ll be walking in and around the creek, this program requires good balance and a sense of adventure. Register here.
Gun Violence Prevention Briefing and Action Hour
Join Mom's Demand Action on Sunday April 2 at 6pm EST to learn about the movement to end gun violence and to take action to urge lawmakers to do more to keep our communities safe. Register here.
Transgender Day of Visibility
Bishop Kevin Strickland (Southeastern Synod - ELCA) and Bishop Brenda Bos (Southwest California Synod - ELCA) share words of encouragement to those who are transgender. Watch the video here.
