In the sure and certain hope of the resurrection, we commend the following servant to the everlasting care of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit:

With deep sadness, we mourn the death of our brother in Christ from the North Carolina Synod: the Rev. Matthew Ernst.  Rev. Ernst passed away on April 21, 2023.
 
His ministry in the Southeastern Synod as the developer of All Saints Lutheran Church in Lilburn, GA, formed a congregation as a witness of God’s grace in the Metro Atlanta area and continues to share that witness. Pastor Matt's gifts blessed many, and his impact continues.
 
We commend the Reverend Matthew L. Ernst to God's loving arms as we celebrate our common faith in the hope of the resurrection to eternal life.
 

The funeral service will be held at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Ocean Isle Beach, NC, on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 11:00 am ET.
