We are excited to gather once again in assembly in Chattanooga, TN, on Friday, June 2, 2023, through Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the Chattanooga Convention Center, in Chattanooga, TN.
We will be spending time throughout the 2023 Synod Assembly plenaries, workshops, keynotes, and more, on a "Journey with Jesus" in which we are "Formed in Faith."

Saturday Formation Breakfast (6/3/23) with Dawn Rundman from 1517 Media
On Saturday of the Synod Assembly, Dawn Rundman, Ph. D., will lead a conversation (over breakfast) on the joys and struggles of Formation, and share research on how the recent COVID pandemic has shifted the mindset of how Formation works for all ages, especially our youngest members of the Church.
When you register for Synod Assembly, be sure to check the box that states you would like to attend this breakfast.
(NOTE: The breakfast is an ADDITIONAL $30 expense to your registration. If you already submitted your registration, you can go to your registration email, click on the "Confirmation" link and edit your registration to add the Formation Breakfast to your registration. You will then have the option to pay the additional cost.)
Dawn Rundman is the Director of Faith Formation Resources Development for 1517 Media and brings a wealth of Formation experiences.

Due to the election of Mr. Imran Siddiqui to serve as the Vice President of the ELCA, the 2023 Southeastern Synod Assembly will be electing a new Vice President to serve a four-year term of office.
The 2023 Synod Assembly will also be electing the position of Treasurer for the Southeastern Synod.
In addition to the two officer positions, the Assembly will also be elected 2 at-large positions on the Synod Council, these positions can only be held by lay members. We will also elect members to the Consultation and Discipline Committees.

Resolutions and Memorials to be addressed by the 2023 Southeastern Synod Assembly must be submitted to the synod office by 5:00 PM Eastern on May 12, 2023, as determined by the Synod Constitution (S11.01.32.A12).
Resolutions and Memorials may be submitted from congregations, conferences, the Southeastern Synod Lutheran Youth Organization or a group of at least 15 voting members of the assembly and submitted by the deadline.
